Lambing Open Weekend
We are delighted to be hosting our Lambing Open Weekend again for 2024!
11th & 12th May
We love what we do and it shows, which is why we like to take the time to show you
what lambing is all about for us. We have 200 Exlana ewes to lamb in April.
Our Lambing Weekend will be held on the 11th & 12th of May. 10am - 3pm
Lambing Outside
The Exlana is a low input breed, bred with genetics in mind, their low labor cost, efficient forage conversion, reduced chemical inputs and wool shedding abilities make them a more sustainable and regenerative breed. Which is why we are laming outside on a more natural and extensive farming system.
What are you expecting to see?
As always, we cannot guarantee live births, but there will be designated walkways around the fields that the ewes and lambs are kept in during the duration of the weekend.
Fresh produce will be available to buy on the day as well as fresh BBQ'd meats, there will be fun activities for kids letting them get stuck in.

Spring Time
As we start to lamb in a completely different system we learn very quickly that we have made the right decision. Lambs are born right under our noses, no complications so far.. the ewes and lambs are thriving, standing up in mere minutes after birth and ready to latch on to mum and get that oh so important first feed of colostrum.
